By Cathy from Chiago on 12/10/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Lightweight Best Uses: Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a fairly casual jacket. It is not something that is particularly "special". It can be worn on weekends with jeans, but not if you are being elegantly casual.

loved it, want one for me By waterfaerie from michigan on 07/01/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Fine Quality Cut, Fits over layers, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career, Casual, Classic, Eclectic, Frugal but high-end, Trendy Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: got this jkt for my 85 y/o dad who wanted a light weight no lining coat for daily wear, but didn't want the athletic type cut. We live in Michigan, w cool summer mornings/eveneings that need a light touch/outside barrier to the elements. I've worked in the outdoor industry and have a couple of cloudveil pieces myself and love the simplicity of style. He also now is a huge cloudveil fan. and the price! who could beat such a bargan! amazing and necessary for someone on a limited income. it was exactly what he was looking for and he didn't even know it was out there. good thing i did. i want a womans one for me now!
It works, if you like style By Larry from Calif. on 05/29/2008 Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Sleeves too long for medium (might fit 33" dress shirt sleeve), and no positive sleeve closure to lock in place (Velcro, button, etc.). Surprised to find twill fabric, but I guess it fits style. No clammy feel like DRW coated jackets.
By toolusingprimate from asheville nc on 05/19/2008 Pros: Good Cut, Lightweight, stretch fabric Cons: Very silly pocket closure Best Uses: Cool spring mornings Describe Yourself: Eclectic Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: the magnetic upper pocket closures lose closure when you put your hands in the lower pockets, and the closure tabs gap and project forward. Velcro would have been better. I might sew some on myself after a while.
Otherwise, it's a bit like a Levi-s jacket in cut and length. Stretch slightly coarse material but not uncomfortable (except for the label hitting the back of your neck). Sleeves require turnup of the cuffs to fit. I use it for weather around 45-60 degrees if moving, to 65 if still.
I don't think it is worth the original 'full' price -- probably why it got remaindered. But ok as a casual jacket about as warm as a medium heavy flannel shirt.
By Average G from Ohio on 05/05/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Versatile Cons: Absorbs water like cotton Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great Jacket for daily use . I use it as a casual/outdoor work kind of jacket . The stretchy nylon is tough, it can handle thorns, abrasions and the occasional rambunctious pet claw with ease . It is wind resistant so it breathes well, a perfect balance.
Be aware that this jacket absorbs water like cotton too ! It can easily get soaked by any amount of moisture.
Nice Jacket For The Price By Smolt from Chicago, IL on 05/03/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: Unlined; Wrinkles Easily Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Classic Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is not as attractive or well made as other Cloudveil products I have used. For the price, however, it is a practical choice.
"Excellent buy - image misleading" By Marccus from Champaign, IL on 04/23/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Lightweight, Wrinkle resistant Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Trendy Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am very satisfied with this purchase. The images are misleading with regard to color. There is much more green in the tint than what I expected, but otherwise a durable coat and a great value.
