By bargainbird from seattle, wa on 05/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Weight, Packable, Priced right, Stylish Best Uses: Backpacking, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is perfect for me - I keep it in the car, and take it with me on day trips in case of poor weather. The fit is perfect for my proportions (5'6")and it packs down small and light. The price is great for a little rain jacket.
By edub from NJ, USA on 05/20/2009 Pros: Breathable, Good Weight Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: It is not as long as I expected, and feels very tight although I ordered large instead of medium.
By Dana&Ben from Philadelphia, Pa on 03/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Weight Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a super lightweight jacket, great for my attempts to backpack minimalist style. I was looking at Golite's Virga jacket at 7.4 ounces, but it is $80! So this deal was too great to pass up... I ordered XL in order to layer over mid-weight layers, but I normally wear a M so it's hard to say if the sizing is right. I would err on the side of upsizing. When I tried it on at home, it is not too noisy and the hood stayed up nicely with reaching and bending... I don't know what wind would do! Took it with me hiking last weekend, but didn't use it (no rain!). It's so light and small, about the size a and weight of a mini pringles can.
A good jacket, except a little tight By Jo Jo from San Francisco, CA on 02/13/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Sports, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I would put on the jacket for a morning run. It's a bit of a tight fit so you can't really wear anything that's bulky inside this jacket.
Perfect for rainy summer days... By jennyneptune from Cambridge, MA on 02/01/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is perfect for light hiking or just around town. I ordered the large because there were no more XLs. So I can't really layer it for colder weather. But I'm sure it would stand up. It is incredibly well made and even feels warm with just one long sleeve turtleneck. It has two zipper front pockets and one non-zippered inside. Came in a pouch that can easily be attached to pack or belt. If they get anymore in XL, I'm there!!!
By Suzy from Seattle, WA on 01/23/2009 Pros: Breathable, Good Weight Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this for a trip to London. I also ordered the Marmot "ion" jacket and kept that one because it was lighter, less "crunchy," and three people who saw both jackets on me voted for the Marmot color!
I did like the substantial elastic in the wrists. This would be a good jacket to just leave in the car -- to have a rain jacket/windbreaker on hand.
By mimi the outdoors woman from seattle,WA on 01/21/2009 Cons: Poor Craftsmanship, Poor Fit, Restricts Movement Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: this was a non-satisfactory product. i was so happy when i thought i got a good deal.
when i actually received it...
it looked cheap
very poorly made..bad quality.
the arms were too wide
dont let the bargain price fool you.. it is "cheap" alright!
Too short through sleeves and bodice By Vermont Mom from Vermont on 01/21/2009 Cons: Poor Fit, Restricts Movement Best Uses: Casual Wear, Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The price on this jacket was great. The color is much brighter than appears online - almost a bright periwinkle. The jacket is very lightweight.
The main problem is that the fit is really too small. I found a men's sample of the same jacket locally and the men's medium fit much better. I am tall 5'10" and unless the length is generous it just doesn't fit or flatter.
By . from Arkansas on 01/14/2009 Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I expected it to be a little bigger. It was not very long either. It came to my waistband. I am fairly short and things are usually longer on me but this was not. Since I am only going to wear it when hiking I kept it. It is extremely light and that is what I was looking for.
GREAT JACKET for those windy, warm days By treewoman from San Diego CA on 01/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This light jacket is GREAT on those windy days when you
really don't need something to keep you warm. It is
light enough to wear when it's in the 60's and with
a sweater in the 50's
