By lolacanola from Inland Empire, CA on 01/03/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking, Spring or early Fall Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Sizes do run small. It is cute, and has three roomy pockets, including one on the back. Because it is on the small side, it would be hard to layer much more than a t-shirt under it.
By irish hiker from florida on 12/22/2008 Cons: Feels like childs size Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: nice for my kids
Repels water pretty well, no wind By the new adventurer from Memphis, TN on 12/18/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof Cons: Not Warm Enough, Not Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used this jacket in Costa Rica while hiking in the rainforest. It was good for the light cloudy rain but did not offer much warmth or wind protection.
contrasting color = mesh (underarm area) By Frolicker Extraordinaire from Petoskey, MI on 12/10/2008 Pros: Breathable, Good for curvybusty girl, Lightweight, Open mesh side vents, Packable, Stylish Cons: May leak if using arms, Mesh side panels Best Uses: Hiking, Perfect for biking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Biking, Cold Weather Living, Emergency jacket, Evening frolicks, Hiking Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is a strange concept. Upon receiving the jacket, I thought, "Oh my! There is literally mesh in the armpit & down side panel. How strange! I thought that I was purchasing a water resistant jacket... but mesh has holes in it. How can that be water & wind resistant?"
I guess, the strange concept has worn on me, though. I am keeping it, & looking forward to biking this summer with it.
It is very thin, so I understand why someone judged it as flimsy. But I am hoping that it will hold up.
ey comfortable and effective jacket. By happy hiker from Newcastle, WA. on 11/23/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Lots of Pockets, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Used while walking/hiking - keeps me dry in rain, and breathes so that being sweaty is not a problem.
By mmtt from san francisco on 11/02/2008 Pros: Breathable, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I agree with the reviewer that said the cut is tight in the underarm area. The cut is for those with narrow shoulders. I am athletic and thin, definitely not bulky. usually a small is quite roomy all around for me. the girth of the arms on this jacket is fine. However, if you have average or broader shoulders, the jacket pulls in the underarm area. Other than that, the rest of the sizing is true. There are side panels that are just mesh, which would be nice for activities that need good ventilation.
By yogagirl from denver on 07/28/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket felt flimsy and small. I sent it back.

By Busy Mama from Port Angeles, WA on 05/29/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight Cons: constricts under arms Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the design of this jacket (perhaps not the elastic wristbands)--even the mesh side vents that some didn't like but for me the underarm area was too constricting, even with a very minimal t-shirt, it felt pinched. Too bad, because otherwise the small size did fit me perfectly.

The sizing is good. The sleeves are adequate for my long arms.
