By Pyr from Seattle, WA on 06/24/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: It's fairly lightweight, but definitely not waterproof. Strange since I've tried other Sierra Designs jackets advertised as waterproof which worked fine. Even light rain will leak through this fabric though.

By Nightmoi from Bellevue, WA on 05/25/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Windproof Best Uses: Breezy sumer evening, Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a wonderful jacket. We purchased it extra large because so many don't have enough room around the middle. It is PLENTY big. It will be wonderful for a long trip where we need all of the packing room we can manage.
Overpriced with no special features By Flying Rich from Northampton, MA on 04/21/2009 Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought this jacket for expected quality of Sierra Designs name but was disappointed. This is a plain, no features jacket which is over priced even at 50% off. No extra pockets, no pit zips, no hood adjustment and no way to roll up the hood into the collar. Lining feels like it would be clammy on a warm day. Questionable construction with one of the velcro touch tabs not properly stitched.
Only plus is that it is very light weight.
Returned and will wait for something better.
