By pwyu from W. Michigan on 04/29/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Sort of breathable..., Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Definitely runs small. I have a Men's Medium (For a point of reference I wear a 38S Jacket and my Northface fleece and shell are Men's Small). It's very lightweight, and seems to be waterproof, but I haven't really been in a deluge yet. It's unlined, to add to its lightweightness, but if you're wearing a shortsleeve, feels a little clammy.
No pit or chest vents which would be nice. I liked my Red Ledge better... It was cheaper, had vents and a lining. Still, the Sierra Design is a n Ok jacket for a spring rain.
By Steve in NH from Durham, NH on 10/27/2007 Pros: Lightweight, Waterproof Best Uses: Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have some great technical jackets, but they are all too big and bulky for day-to-day wear and I would be worried about getting a tear in something that I rely on so this jacket really fills that niche. It is lightweight, water-resistant so it is great if it is drizzling and I want to walk my dog or go for a walk on a crisp fall morning.
Avoid - sizing is way out of whack. By Kiwi Sue from Auckland NZ on 09/16/2007 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Waterproof Cons: Inadequate Protection, Torso Too Short, Unwearably small Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband purchased one of these jackets in Men's Medium - described as chest 40-44 inch. The jacket when it arrived was too small for me (chest 36 inch). We thought it was a fluke so ordered another - it was just as tiny.
