This is my favorite coat! It's lightweight, warm and wind resistant. It's not water proof, but can stand up to adverse weather. The length of the sleeves and back are just right. I especially like the cut around the waist. Most coats for women seem too box shaped. Since this coat has a more tailored fit, it doesn't have a lot of bunchy material in the middle.

However, I was put off by the static cling in the fabric, the obvious synthetic feel to the outer layer, and the swishy noise the fabric made while I wore the jacket. I really don't want to hear my clothing! As far as the fit goes, the body is comfortable and the sleeves are long enough, but it's too short to be really practical in wet weather. I would have liked it to cover the hip area, like Ibex's Nolita jacket does. Maybe the Cirque jacket is better suited to a cyclist than a walker.

It is great with layers underneath for cool temperatures. I wear the jacket every day. Compared to other soft shells, you can tell the jacket has a wool component against your skin. I would buy this again.
