By TN Jeepster from Tennessee on 02/23/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Lightweight, Well Made Cons: Fabric is a little noisy Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got this jacket to wear on those cool 'in-between' days when a heavy jacket is too much and a simple windbreaker isn't enough. I was looking for a simple, well-constructed, light-weight jacket that would keep me warm without adding a lot of bulk - and this jacket is just right to meet my needs. (I mostly use it for daily walks through the neighborhood and gardening chores.) It's a little bit bigger than I would have wanted but only because I had to order 'Small' instead of my normal 'X-Small'.
I find the 'swishing' sound of the sturdy fabric to be a little bit annoying but I think that is to be expected with any wind/water resistant material.
So far, I am very pleased with this jacket. It is definitely a bargain for a light-weight quality jacket!
By Travel Hound from Northern, VA on 12/26/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Versatile, Well Made Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this as an everyday jacket for work or weekends. It's very wind and rain resistant and well made. It would also be a perfect basic jacket for travel, light weight but warm with layers. I liked the quality materials and workmanship. Has nice details like hidden drawstring at the waist to adjust fit but not stick out.
Very useful for fall weather. Great jacket, great price By MK from San Francisco on 11/30/2008 Pros: Durable, Good Cut, Great value, Versatile, Warm, Well constructed Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great jacket at a great price. I read another review that said it wasn't "the most attractive jacket," which made me think twice before ordering it in black. After having the black one for a few weeks, I ordered it in Olive, so I now have two. In case you're wondering, it's a good olive, not an ugly one. For anyone who is not a flashy dresser and likes an understated, utility look that goes well in an urban setting or a rural one, this is a spectacular deal! It keeps you warm but doesn't make you hot. It keeps you dry. It looks sleek. It's functional. It's durable. There are no designs on it that might annoy you in a few years (or even just next season...). What's not to love? Note: this is not a long jacket, so it does not replace a long/overcoat for either full body warmth or a dressier look, but for pretty much any other jacket-use purpose, it's a great choice. Dress it up or down, wear it and don't worry about it getting trashed if it falls on the floor, use it for outdoor activity or to go to out on the town...own it, love it.
Exactly what I was looking for. Im hoping that will go away other then that its a nice jacket.

By Tully from Montpelier, VA on 03/19/2008 Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Versatile Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Classic, Functional Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is a good basic jacket to have. It works great for breezier-cooler days when a sweatshirt isn't enough and a jacket is too much. I wore it in the rain today and it kept me dry. It's not the best-looking jacket I have, but it has become the most functional.
By M.A.B. from San Pedro on 12/28/2007 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, sailing Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: THis material is perfect for light to moderate ocean spray. It is tailored enough to fit under foul gear or be left alone. I've seen a similar jacket for twice this price. It is a definite deal.
