It was snug across the shoulders and the sleeves were tight even without a sweater underneath. The quality was OK, but at this price, I expected more.

The shoulders were too large. I looked like I was wearing one of my husband's suit jackets. The pea coat was returned. I'm still looking for the perfect pea coat.

It seems true to size in the chest. I am on the tall thin side and usually buy size 8 jackets and a size 32 fit fine with room for a light sweater underneath. My tailor let the sleeves down an inch and it is perfect (she was also impressed with the tailoring). The fabric very soft. It's light weight but I live in Montana and never intended to use it for a winter coat anyway.

I would have NEVER paid "stated" retail price of over $400. I need a good heavy wool coat for the winter.

However, the fit is too big in the chest and too tight in the hips! Disappointing.
