Nice, heavy-weight leather with a nice warm lining. It's a little heavy, but that shows it is good leather.

Will just have to see how the zippers hold up, but have yet to encounter any of the problems mentioned by other reviewers. The hood might come in handy in more bitter climates than we encounter in the South, but since it's removable, I doubt I'll ever need it.

For that it cannot be beat. I was not dissapointed when it arrived. The only negative I have on this coat are the two draw strings that dangle down in the front -- they look goofy! I curled them up so they wouldn't be noticable. Also, some comments mention the zipper being undersized for the weight of the coat. I didn't find that to be the case - I think the zipper is fine.

We both agreed that you couldn't beat getting a leather jacket for [$] but also, you get what you pay for. It seems larger than it should and not as warm as expected. It's definitely a casual look. The metal end-pieces on the draw-strings broke off as soon as he put the coat on. The draw-strings just hang there, looking sloppy, and like they will probably get caught on something and break off eventually(?). But we kept it anyway because it was a leather jacket for only [$].
