By Niino from Mountain View , Ca on 06/11/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Downhill, Hiking Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have not had a chance to use these as I got them end of season, so I'd feel guilty giving 5 stars. However they remind me of designer ski pants I had years ago that I loved. Those were warm for the weight and because of the close fit, very flattering. They were durable as well, & I expect these to be just as good. IMHO lots of ski pants run small, & I followed the recommendation to buy 2 sizes up. Perfect. I am not tall and am used to taking up hems a lot; these would be easy to do.
By Meme from Newfoundland on 02/12/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They are definitely small make. It seam they are youth sizes with a perfect tiny waist...I am 54 years old and I wear size 4-6 petite, and in regular size, I wear 2 (4 if they are small make). After reading the advise of a petite person ( not big for a petite person ) I order size 4 (thinking in regular sizes) well, they were two sizes small! I returned them and order size 8. They are still a little small in the waist and snug on the hip but I like them. They are nice looking pants.
By Jane from MA on 02/11/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really liked the non-bulky style of these pants, however, the sizing is way off. I ended up having to return them and unfortunately the returns aren't free.
I would buy this product again. By Ski Bunny from Chicago, IL on 02/09/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wore these pants downhill skiing and loved them. They were very warm without being bulky and were very comfortable. I purchased these 2 sizes up (per some of the recommendations from people who bought them before me), but probably should have gone with only 1 size up. I only wore a light layer underneath (under armour) so 2 sizes up was too much. I would definitely recommend these to someone who is looking for stylish ski pants that are warm but not bulky. The price is also very reasonable in comparison to some of the brands I found at the larger sporting good stores.
Great fit -I ordered same size as always By Cold and Vain from Seattle on 02/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: After-ski, Cross Country Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great fitting pants - I have been looking for a long while. However, I ordered 1 size up as reccommended and had to exchange for normal size which fits as expected. Maybe it has to do with the fact that they are very high-waisted, a style most probably haven't worn in some time!
By skimom from suffield, ct on 02/02/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cross Country, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These soft shell ski pants are old school cool. They bring back the 70s, and I mean that in a good way. They are comfortable, functional and beautifully made.
By DJ from Orlando, FL on 11/24/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Advanced Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Usually wear a 4 or 6, ordered a 10 fit great! Plenty of room for an underlayer (which you will need as the wool is a bit itchy). Feels like they will be very warm, which is what I was looking for. Great fit and stretch. This will replace my old stretch pants for skiing. I don't care for those bulky ski pants. These will be great for many years!
By Laura from Denver, CO on 11/11/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Warm, Windproof Cons: no pockets, Wool lining Best Uses: Cross Country Skiing, Downhill, Snowshoeing Describe Yourself: Advanced Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Order 2 sizes up. They are not US Sized. Wear with base layer to overcome itchy wool liner. They are meant to be a snug fit. Even so they move with you as they warm to your body. Very Nice.
By Jill from Australia on 06/24/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Too large for petite size Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Cross Country, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered the recommended one size larger and it was at least one size too large so maybe this recommendation does not apply to petite women. i'm in the process of exchanging which means own cost to send back from overseas but no charge to resend me my exchange pants - customer service very helpful.
By super shopper from Central Coast CA on 03/11/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Downhill, Freestyle Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I took the advice of other purchasers and selected two sizes larger than I am. They do conform to your shape. For a week in Aspen - they were warm, very comfortable and attractive. I like the fact they are lightweight and not bulky but technically effective. I wore under armour so I didn't experience any itchiness. I really love these pants.
