He's usually a size small. However, in this jacket, for some reason, the armpit holes were unusually small, for a jacket. Meaning he couldn't wear a sweater under the jacket, since it bunched in the armpits. So, I returned it for a Medium, and that seems OK.
By Hellova Engineer from Atlanta, Ga on 01/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket exceeded my expectations. I purchased it along with 3 other fleece jackets and there was never any doubt which one I should keep.
FIT: I'm 6'2" and about 170lb and I got the medium. It fit just right, not baggy and not too snug so I can still wear a couple layers underneath. The sleeves are the right length for me (past my wrist but not to my thumbs). The only thing to improve the fit would be if it was a little longer (1-1.5in). I have a long torso and I think it would fit a regular person better.
USE: I'm a graduate student on an urban campus. I wear this jacket walking around school and out running errands when it's in the the 40s or colder. I also won't hesitate to take it camping when I get a chance. I really like the Windstopper material. Works as implied and slips over other clothing easier than regular fleece.
IMPRESSION: The jacket is stealthy. AFRC won't be recognized like TNF, Marmot, Mountain Hardware, or others would, but you can expect the same quality and style. Their logo is even embroidered black on black so you hardly know it's there.

Its comfortable and looks nice too. My only minor complaint is that its a hair shorter than I'd like. If this thing was 1-2in longer it'd be perfect though it's definately not enough to make me think twice about keeping it.
By Gravity Junkie from Long Beach, Ca on 12/17/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice Jacket, I'm sure I'll get lots of use out of it. Sleeves may be just a bit long, but it appears to be easy to slightly adjust the hem an inch or so, to make it a perfect fit.

Maybe not a clasic fleece By Don from Detroit on 11/09/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Fabric is not a classic fleece, smooth and lighter but very good at stopping wind and cold. I wear it on weekends and it feels good shopping or standing in the wind/rain. Very light weight and nice cut, a little dressier than a fleece which makes it more versatile. I was a little concerned it would not be warm enough but 30's and 40's it is fine.
