Warm, snow-proof, and light! By Walk-a-thoner from Northville, MI on 01/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Waterproof Best Uses: Cross Country, Downhill, Hiking, Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These ski pants are comfortable, warm, waterproof, light, and a good value for the money. However, they tend to run larger than the advertized size. I placed an exchange merchandise order for a smaller size with STP, which was handled courteously and promptly. Now I am enjoying my hikes in snow in Michigan while staying dry.
By sore...but dry from Pinetop, AZ on 01/13/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country, Downhill, Hiking, Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wore these for my first time snowboarding and in spite of spending most of my day falling, sliding and sitting in the snow, my legs never felt cold and I stayed completely dry. I have also used them snowshoeing and they were great. The waist is adjustable plus the pants have belt loops in case you need to wear a belt and carry anything on it.
By Barber Hiker from Pikes Peak Region, CO on 01/12/2009 Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a 36' waist and all my jeans and pants are 36' so I ordered an XL which supposedly fits waist sized 36-38. I was swimming in them. Since I liked the pants I relucatantly ordered the 32-34 to see if they would fit and they fit perfectly. Haven't worn that size since the 80's.
These are decent pants with the internal gaiters. The velcro closure holds well, and there are a few belt loops if suspenders were to be needed. The cuff zips enables easy on and off.
By aaron from gunnison, co on 01/12/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country, Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love the pants, just wish there were more pockets, like cargo pockets.
By Sierra Snowboarder from Auburn, CA on 01/07/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My son says they fit well over his snowboarding boots, are comfortable and not too hot (important for California and Nevada skiing.) He can always add longjohns for very cold conditions and the cut easily allows for an extra layer.

By Adam Outdoorsman from Seattle, WA on 01/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof Best Uses: Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Advanced Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The description says that the medium is for waist size (30-32) and the large is (34-36). I have a 33-34" waist and so I ordered a large, but it was a 35" when I cinched it down. I exchanged it with no problems and they sent me a medium. I was able to fit into them comfortably without cinching down the adjustable straps. If you are over 34, then get a large, but the description online is one inch too small I think. So a medium should be (31-34) and large (35-37).
The pants are nice. Not too baggy looking, but with enough room to wear layers underneath. They also feel very durable and look to be made of quality material. Gore-tex is the way to go. Of course, I haven't yet had the opportunity to use them yet on the mountain. I would recommend them for the price though. Great value.
