Great product, Great price By T from Ca on 04/27/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is great. It is large enough that layers can be worn underneath, yet it is warm enough that layers are rarely needed. Just as warm and as comfortable as the much much more expensive patagonia retro jacket

Problem is a bit bulky and very heavy.

It's fairly warm, and cut (mostly) to keep out cold and snow. The sleeves have fleece flaps in them that keep snow from falling past your wrists, and the waist and collar have a snug fit to trap heat. The canvas accents are a little stiff, but the jacket is still comfortable. This jacket has very long sleeves and generally has a large fit; it's usually a tossup for me between medium and large (5'10", 170), but this jacket in a medium is a tad big on me.
One nitpick I have is that the hand pockets on this jacket are slits all the way through the fleece and lining, and there's only a mesh pocket inside. I prefer pockets that split the outer and inner layers, they seem to do a better job of keeping your hands warm and trapping your body heat.

I had to exchange my medium for a small and although it fits better it makes it difficult to layer under.

Excellent features and design. I where it almost every day. 6'1" 220lb and a large fits nicely. XL was too big for me. Excellent zippers, stitching, workmanship and super warm. So comfy I've slept in it.
By amac from Vicksburg, MS on 01/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Warm Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is a little big. My boyfriend had to wash it and shrink it to make it fit,but after it shrank it was perfect. Just be prepared for it to fit a little big at first.
By jb...hiker/dog-horse lover from NC Mountains on 01/06/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Excellent heavier weight, Good Cut, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this product for daily wear and day hiking. I also find it best to wear around my horses. For hiking it is good if the weather is clear and cold. Without a wind barrier, one needs to have a lightweight rain jacket for protection from the elements. It is very warm, comfortable, great looking, and a joy to wear.

By Sven of the North from Minneapolis on 12/30/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very fun, but not silly-looking fuzzy jacket with good pockets, nice long sleeves for a guy with long arms, nice microfleece interior. Roomy enough to wear over a shirt plus thinner sweater. Not as useful for aerobic activities as a slimmer fleece or windstopper jacket, but warm enough to knock around in on all but the coldest winter days. At Sierra's price it's definitely a 5 Star.
