Keeps face warm but fits a bit tight By kb from Morgantown, WV on 03/15/2010 Pros: Breathable, Dries Easily, Good Protection, Warm Best Uses: Backcountry, Skiing, Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like this product but should have ordered a large instead of medium. I wear a medium helmet, etc; but the medium balaclava is a bit tight.
By Simple Gear from Raleigh, NC on 03/15/2010 Pros: Breathable, Good Protection, Warm Best Uses: Backcountry, Skiing Describe Yourself: Intermediate Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: After reading the comments of others, I ordered a large instead of a medium and almost wish I had ordered an x-large. The Windbloc fabric is great for wind and light moisture, but doesn't stretch as much as other fleece balavlavas.
Good, but still looking for the perfect simple balaclava.

By Sue from St. Louis , MO on 02/13/2010 Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This item is much smaller than expected. So small that I gave it away to a friend to give to her grandson.
By LoveTheSnow from North Carolina on 02/08/2010 Pros: Breathable, Good Fit, Good Protection, Warm Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country, Skiing, Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Intermediate Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got this for my husband, who has a rather large head (has difficulty finding hats that fit, e.g. universal-sized large is always too small), and the XL is a great fit! So far he's only used it for winter/snow hiking in about 25 degree weather, and ended up taking it off a couple of times because it was so warm. We currently live in a fairly mild climate, but have family that lives in Colorado and other colder areas, so this will definitely be traveling with us any time we visit in winter!
