Beautiful sweater that's too short By Sara the shopper from Long Island, New York on 10/29/2009 Pros: Flattering, Stylish, Warm Cons: Short sleeve length, Tight in neck Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: A beautiful sweater that is just plain short for my 5' 10" frame. The sleeves were at least 5 inches too short and the turtleneck just came to my waist. I even struggled with the tight fitting neck as I pulled it over my head. The cablework is lovely but there's just too little sweater for this tall gal. Unfortunately, I'm returning it.
Awful Rendition of a Turtleneck Neckline By Ag from Louisville, CO on 10/27/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: i adore turtlenecks, but this neck was so long, the only way you can wear it is to fold is over TWICE, which makes the turtleneck much too thick. nobody on earth has a neck as long as this turtleneck, if folded once, as is customary.
By A1 Graphic Designer from Minneapolis, MN on 10/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Color, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It was exciting to find this versatile, all-wool sweater. Wool is hard to find in today's sweaters; they're usually a blend of fibers that result in a not-very-warm sweater. Wool is a winter necessity for Midwest offices and homes.

However, Sierra Trading had a great deal, so I bought two!
Don't turn to the side or the back! By Marianne from boulder, colorado on 10/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Color, Soft, Warm Cons: Cable design not on back, Knit quality loose, Looks Cheap, Thin Fabric Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I felt it was expensive in that the cable design was not carried out on the sleeves and the back of the sweater, only the front. Also the tightness of the sweater's knit was loose, and not thick-feeling.
Cable only in the front : ( By Carmen from New York, NY on 07/14/2009 Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Mediocre for this level of product. Glad I waited to order one in another color. Size is fine; I'm 5'9" and 150lbs, and the M is fine.

Fabulous English sweater of soft Merino By ET / cross country skier, snow shoe-er from Ogden Utah on 03/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Great Color, Mereino wool is the best, Soft, Stylish, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Best outdoor activities, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great sweater. It is a classic. It seems to be offered in the STP online every year, all the time.
I got it to wear with a down parka for all winter outings wiht local Sierra Club, that sometimes last 3-4.5 hrs. I like to layer and not get COLD. This sweater was a perfect addtion to my ourdoor gear for cold weather. I have a dog so I got the charcoal. Perfect. Images shared by: ET / cross country skier, snow shoe-er
By beckyleeprice from Pittsburgh, PA on 03/15/2009 Cons: Looks Cheap, Poor Fit Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this originally in medium b/c other reviewers had commented that it ran small. The medium was HUGE and had to be exchanged for a small. OTOH, the medium looked good, with cables all over, including the back of the body. The small only has cables in the front, with a plain back; I think this makes the sweater look cheap, and it's not a cheap sweater by any means. Plus, in the medium the sleeves came down to my fingertips and the sleeves in the small hit me above my wrist bones, over a 6 inch difference in sleeve length between sizes?? The neck, however, didn't give me a problem. I have an average length neck and while the neck of the sweater goes right up to my chin, I like this in a warm winter sweater; and it's not too tight or hard to get off.
