By Michigan Gal from Grosse Pointe, MI on 01/02/2009 Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice sweater. Design on front only. I'm returning mine because it is so imperfect to the point of being unwearable. One shoulder is 2" longer than the other! Also looks like it has hung from a hanger for years. Blocking will not fix this. Too bad.

It's only drawback is the neck feels tight when sliding the sweater over your head.

The quality of the knits is outstanding. Not too warm and not too thin it is suitable for all types of weather.
By Michigan Gal from Grosse Pointe, MI on 12/30/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Color, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: After purchasing the shawl-collar cardigan, I had hopes that this sweater would equal it in quality. It does not. The yarn is light-to-medium weight. The cable pattern is on the front only. My biggest problem, though, is the fit. The left shoulder fits fine; the sleeve begins at the top of my arm. The right shoulder is much longer; the sleeve begins at least 2" down from the top of my arm. I had a similar shoulder-fit problem with another medium-weight sweater from this company. I've had to return both.
By sweater lover from Indianapolis, IN on 12/30/2008 Pros: Great Color, Stylish, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Special Occasions, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought 4 other Glover sweaters and adore each of them. I find them beautifully designed, incredibly soft and warm, and I've been alternately living in them. I wanted another. I have a short neck and so many product reviews commented on the tall neck on this sweater than I have no one to blame but myself for ignoring those reviews and ordering it anyway. I have to say I was still stunned by just how tall the turtle neck is on it, though. Short neck that I have, only rare women would have a neck long enough to wear this comfortably.
So, that part was my fault. But, the other sweaters have been soft and squishy, almost like a duvet to wear, and unlike any wool sweater I've ever owned. I haven't bought a wool sweater in 20 years or more because of the scratch factor even on lambswool (which also pills). I bought a featherweight (very thin) merino sweater a year ago and found it to be like cotton, so decided to give these a try. Besides, they are made from wool spun from Scottish merino sheep and that's apples/oranges from American wool. So, I was very surprised to find that this sweater was scratchy. The label says it's made from 100% merino wool the same as do the other sweaters, but it sure felt like a different wool. Even if it had been a crew neck, I'd have returned this sweater because of the scratchiness.

Not at all scratchy-- it's soft and feels great. Nice midweight-- perfect for late fall and all through winter. Fantastic with jeans or a nice wool skirt. Wonderful to have something of this quality at a great price.

As noted (correctly) in other reviews, the turtle neck is HIGH!! I have a long neck so find this ok but it couldn't be any taller or it would swallow my chin. Also, the neck is fairly tight, which I like. If you're looking for a looser fit though, or if you don't like wool right up against your skin without any relief (even fairly soft wool like this), you're out of luck with this one, which is a pity because the color and shaping are really nice. And it's toasty warm. To me this is one of those items you'll absolutely love or passionately hate.

I was very disappointed.
