The collar is very thick which others complained about but I think it looks and feels great. There are a few spots where the cable weave of the sweater isn't as well connected to the rest of the body as I'd like - you can see what color shirt I'm wearing underneath. Otherwise and overall, its great.

It is my new favorite sweater. The wool is very soft and warm. The zipper is the only thing that could be of better quality.

However, is very warm, comfortable and well made

I have large shoulders so this is usually where clothes are too tight for me. In this sweater, the shoulders are very oversized, go down the arm and it looks weird - it's really noticeable in the cream color so I'm returning it. Also, the finishing at the shoulder has a bump, like it was stretched out to stick up. It's not so noticeable on the darker color, I ordered that one after because I thought the cream one had a flaw but apparently it was just the design. The wool is fine, not too itchy.

I have broad shoulders and usually welcome the extra room, but I look like a football player in this. The bottom is very loose, too. The grey is gorgeous, very deep and almost black. The dye smell is strong. The sleeves are the perfect length when rolled back, but that makes them so thick, they get in the way.

The reason I returned it is that the collar is very bulky. If I had wanted to wear it without a coat over it, that would not be a problem. Since I want to be able to wear it under a coat, I feel that the bulkiness of the collar would make it difficult, and perhaps uncomfortable.

In our northwest climate, it will serve me as an outer garment during most of our winter. The sleeves are a bit long - - cuffs can be turned back or left long as to cover hands. I have not worn the items so cannot comment as to "pilling,washing".
