Great pants, highly recommend! By Sassy Swamp Girl from Indianapolis, IN on 03/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I checked Columbia's sizing charts and they said I would be a size 10 (versus the noraml curvy size 8 that I am...29 inch waist, 41 inch hips). So, I ordered the 10 and they fit great! They are low cut (which is rare in outdoor pants), and as far as waist goes, I could have gone another size down (but then I might have had the "coinslot" effect). The pants convert into shorts which sit just above my knees (I am 5' 6" tall) which prevent that chafing effect when the zipper is too high. These pants are lightweight, great for outdoors and traveling, dry quickly, and are fairly wrinkle-resistant. I would highly recommend!!!

By Cloud Hopper from Raleigh, NC on 03/15/2009 Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I am 5'10" and wear an 8 or 10 depending on style and fit. I thought these pants would have plenty of room and be long enough, not so. Seemed to fit small all the way around.
By OutdoorsNJ from New Jersey, US on 03/13/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Waist a bit big so will need a belt, but great for horseback riding in the woods.
By Still looking good from Edmore, MI on 02/21/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: They were nice looking, but were very long to make them fit right. The waist felt bigger than normal, while the hip room was just right.
By aidan's mom from oswego,il on 02/20/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: these were really well made, however i felt they were a bit small. i can normally wear a 12 and have a bit of room, these were snug and a little short. i am 5'10 so maybe it's just me... overall, worth the $ and can make them work. next time i buy this brand i would go up a size...
By happyhiker from Laconia, NH on 02/16/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants are so comfortable! They were a little long but only because I am short, however they did shrink in the dryer so they now fit great! Plenty of room to move and just absolutely comfortable all day long no matter what I am doing in them. I wore them to the grocery store, hiking, work, and they are stylish and comfy!
By PDXRose from Portland, OR on 02/15/2009 Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Material is type that will crease the moment you wear it, blah color and design masculine and busy (with stuff attached). I either really hit or miss with columbia and this is a miss.
By KeK from Azusa, CA on 02/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just received these pants and am very happy with them. Out of all the brands, Columbia fits me best. The color is a pretty cinammon brown and please note the waist is low riding. The only draw back is the legs are two long, but that's the norm for me. I always have to hem my pants. I'm 5'5", 125lbs and ordered a size 8.
By Cancer Avoider from San Diego on 02/08/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Sun protective Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Living in Southern California I need sun protection from head to toe. I do lots of outdoor activities and Columbia clothing is part of that outdoor sun protective wardrobe I must wear. Love the pockets. Other brands of spf clothing don't include extra pockets and sometimes they are needed.
