By Tammy, alaska adventure from virginia on 08/17/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching Best Uses: Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I believe I ordered chocolate...but the pants have a hint of plum too them. I ordered a size larger cause people reported a little smaller. I could probably use my "normal" size. However, keeping them for those times I need to put something under pants for addtional warmth.
By vagabond from boston, ma on 08/04/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The elastic on the back of the waistline would allow for a whole lot of stretch. Thats good for those who need it, but if you don't, it males for a whole lot of extra fabric, all gathered so closely together that it chafes pretty badly at the small of the back.

I'm so happy to finally find a pair of convertible pants that are long enough for me!

I like that they convert to knee length shorts for better leg coverage.
By Catrina from Rochester, NY on 07/29/2008 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered a size larger as was suggested in one of the reviews, and they were too big. Will try again with my normal size.

The waist is unbelievably big and the legs are tight. I really can't imagine who would fit into these pants.

By Travelin' gal from Wash DC on 07/16/2008 Pros: great color, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Camping, Traveling Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for a convertible pair of pants comparable to what my husband has - something suitable for travel where the shorts can be worn for when you're active during the day and the pants are stylish enough to go out in the evening. These are the only women's pair I've found so far that fit the bill. My only complaint is that I wish I could combine the leg roominess of the 10 with the narrow waist of the 8 (I ended up sticking with the 8), but all in all, a great pair of pants.
