I read the reviews and bought them in a smaller size. For the price I bought two and had them tailored!!!
By Yosemite Sam from San Joaquin Valley, CA on 03/22/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Cons: Pilling of inside fabric Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The length on these pants is great if you are tall, otherwise expect to have them altered. The inside lining feels like a very light fleece, yet the outside fabric is silky and flattering.
By MLNinNature from State College, PA on 03/16/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted to be able to keep them, but they were just too small sadly. I sent them back.
By JazzyJane from The Great Smoky Mountains of TN on 02/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: Wash separately the 1st X Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wow- the fit of these pants is amazing. They are pretty straight through the hips and waist, so if you are the curvy type, you may not like them. The stretch lets them hug the body without being too tight. I followed the advice of others and ordered 1 size smaller than usual. I'm normally a 12 to 14 (with the 14 being the better fit usually) and a 12 in these fit perfectly. The long is nice and LONG, yeah! As for versatility, these are nicely constructed with trouser details that could let you wear them to a casual work setting (if I were still teaching preschool with all the bending- I'd definitely wear them) or to work out. I'd wear them to work out in, except that the only color available when I purchased was the khaki and it does turn dark when its wet which would not be flattering when I sweat. The only con is that the fleecy insides "shed" when you first get them. Make sure you wash them by themselves inside out the first go round.
By EZ from Duluth MN on 02/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Oh, I wish I loved these pants. I bought a 4 Long, and they were definitely not a size 4 (I would say they were closer to a 6 or 8) and I would call them extra extra extra long. The fabric felt fantastic and I wanted to love these pants so badly, but the thighs were huge for me and I would have had to double hem them. For someone who's 5'10", I could have worn stilts wearing these pants! However, even though they did not fit well, the material was fabulous and I could imagine someone falling in love with them.
By Lisa from Denver, CO on 01/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants are very long, but I am tall and find that a great point. Reading other reviews I bought a size smaller than I would normally wear and they are a perfect fit. These can be dressed up and are warm and comfortable. Love the cozy texture on the inside.
SUPER comfy, but LONG and run large. By Honeymoon happy from St. Paul, MN on 12/30/2008 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these pants, the fabric never wrinkles. Wore them on the plane from MN to FL and they were absolutely comfortable in both climes. The fabric does pill on the inside but other than a couple of loose fuzzies on your legs it is no big deal. The regulars are probably a 34-35" inseam. I usually wear an 8-10 and the 10 fit like a 12 or 14.
By Jan from Alexandria, VA on 11/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They are low rise pants.
By amieeg from anchorage, ak on 11/11/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Super comfortable, fit and look great. I can even get away with riding my bike with these. I ordered tall because I am 5'10" and usually need 33" inseam but these are actually a bit TOO long. The brown is OK but I wish I had them in black instead.
