By Kat the Traveler from Alexandria, LA on 08/14/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Fits great and the fabric is fantastic. The length is long and the pants will have to be hemmed before wearing but still a great value for the quality.
By Cookie Monster from Norcross, GA on 07/28/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Columbia sells a pant called "Globetrekker" [...]they are easy to move in and pretty thick. These are not those pants!! However, these are light, moveable, very nice pants. Sizing is very much like every other pair of Columbia pants I own. I really like them, though they were not the pants I was thinking of.
Good Fitting Travel Pants By Chilepeppa from Mid-Coast Maine & New Mexico on 07/24/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought these for an upcoming trip to Italy in October & I think they'll be perfect for Fall! Fit is true to size but, if you are shorter that 5'7", they may need to be taken up if you wear flat shoes. I rolled them up for a week (to simulating packing) & wrinkles shook right out, ready to wear. Cinder color depicted is pretty accurate. Interior finish is soft... nice lightweight pants!
The BEST dressy pants ever! By iliketobike from Roayl Oak, MI on 07/10/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Work or Office Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought these for travel, but discovered how comfortable and classic they were and they have become a piece of my work wardrobe (cooler weather). With a slight press they had a crease and are as dressy as my other work slacks BUT way more coftable. The inside surface is soft and moves over your skin like silk.
I wanted to like these pants By uncomfortable and sweaty (ugh!) from NJ on 07/02/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Packable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I had to sew elastic to the waist, and hem the bottom, so I can tell you that these pants hold up to anything - it took several attempts with very sharp scissors to make a dent in the fabric, I accidently pulled the fabric with the needle, and it didn't snag. The inside does feel soft, and I thought the pants would be comfortable, but they really don't breathe at all. It's too bad, because they are very well made, and will probably last forever.
Do NOT sit at natural waist By MtnKaren from Estes Park, CO on 05/08/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Cons: These are hip-huggers Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered these because they were stretchy and supposedly came to the waist. The fabric WAS wonderful, but they came nowhere NEAR the waist. I sent them back.
By lynne119 from Asheville on 04/17/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This the second pair I bought because I loved the first pair so much. They fit great, feel good, stretch when I move around, roll up into nothing when I pack and come out fine, are warm on a cold day, and I love the soft flannel like material on the inside.
By lynne from Asheville, NC on 03/31/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I loved these so much, I bought another pair. The flannel on the inside is great for cold weather and wind protection, and they travel really well too. They look great and hang perfectly without feeling tight or clingy. The length is perfect and I have a really hard time finding pants that are long enough. I had actually originally ordered the Longs, but exchanged them for the regular.
By Karen from Maine on 03/31/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pant feel amazing!
HighTech exterior-Cashmere like interior By tsukiehoshie from Chatham, NJ on 03/23/2008 Pros: Cashmere like lining, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish, Wash Dry Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Office Monday- Friday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these pants. They are incredibly sleek, yet functional. The interior has an absolutely unbelievably soft, warm lining -- that doesn't add bulk. I have these pants in black, and I wear them everyday to work. The pockets are especially useful, because I don't carry a purse. At the end of the week, I can just throw the pants in the washing machine, then the dryer.
