By Kilo's Gram from Clinton Twp MI on 10/23/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Michigan falls winters Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Marmot fits me so well. The arm and waist length fit the shorter, or petite size persons best and this pro shell jacket delivers, once again, perfect sizing and quality. I love the new hard shell technology and I will see how durable this technology really is this winter. The colors are new and refreshing. Thanks Marmot!

By Mainebiker from Portland, ME on 03/02/2009 Pros: Breathable, Functional zipper, Good color, Good Pockets, Wind Resistant Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a Marmot down jacket that is 25 years old - I hope this jacket lasts as long. This one is well cut and well designed. I bought it as an outer layer for winter cycling, and it works well for that especially because of pit zips and pockets for battery for my headlight. The color is also highly visible. I got the large in order to be able to layer underneath. I usually wear a size 8, and the large is fine by itself or with several layers under it.

Good jackety, but ended up returning it By Skiergirl from Chester Springs, PA on 11/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Fabric has nice hand, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: Too small across shoulder Best Uses: Backcountry, general winter use, Hiking Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was excited when this jacket arrived, but I ended up returning it for fit reasons. It fit well everywhere, except across the shoulders, where it felt tight and pulled, even without a fleece underneath. I am 5'8, 132lb, so a medium usually fits fine, or is even a little large. I do have broad shoulders for my build, so maybe this jacket just wasn't the one for me. Too bad. The fabric and color were great.
By Doing the snow dance from Oregon on 10/24/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Lots of Pockets, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: In looking for a ski jacket, there are certain attributes which stand out as important and this jacket just didn't have enough of them. Pros: lightweight and surprisingly soft material, not stiff at all. Cons: sleeves too short. Jacket too short overall, especially the powder skirt which raises above my waist when I lift my arms. I don't think it would keep the snow out in a fall. And the hood isn't helmet compatible. It barely fits over my helmet, but leaves no room for freedom of movement. Disappointing.
