By Bill the city commuter from NYC/Boston on 11/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof, Windproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got this to help me stay warm in Boston and NYC winters. It's just into November, but so far, so good.
I have a slightly warm body temp naturally, but as far as I'm concerned, it's like wearing an oven, but lighter (thankfully!). I can't speak to when it's extremely cold, but I've had it out at right around freezing, and with no other winterization besides a stocking cap (no gloves, scarf, long johns, wool socks, decent shoes--nuthin!), it was absolutely toasty. I've had it in some rain, and it's held up remarkably. Kept me dry. Doesn't breathe very well, but it's waterproof and insulated--what did you expect? The cuffs are adjustable, so if you just un-velcro the cuffs and unzip the jacket, it's fine on an unexpectedly pleasant fall day.
Great fit, nice pockets, VERY light relative to the high quality insulation.
Very satisfied customer!

This jacket more than fits the bill! Plus, the pockets and the velcro closures on the wrists are great. I only wish I had bought one for my wife and son. What a buy!
Thinner winter coat, good for the price By Ryan The Sasquatch from Madison, WI. on 03/14/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Great Hood, Lightweight, Nice MP3 storage, Warm, Waterproof Cons: A thinner winter coat, Need to layer up as the, Weather gets colder Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, During the winter months, Everyday Use, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my new winter coat in Madison, WI. The coat is a bit thin but is decent. I have to layer up underneath from Dec-Feb. to avoid feeling the cold. I would reccommend this coat and be sure to layer up (no t-shirt, sweatshirt for sure). The hood is detachable and fits my head well. I am 6'4", 230 lbs and the coat fits well, sometimes it bunches up alittle bit because of its length. It is still a good coat though.
