The instep is rather low and I have difficulty getting them on, but after I do there is no problem. They look and feel fine. The quality is great, and I am very pleased with them.

I ordered a 7.5 and it feels big, I put an insert in and now they feel more secure and more supportive.
They have a vintage look. I like them. They can be worn with jeans, the shaft is wide enough.
GREAT boot, but beware sizing! I wear a 9M but ordered 8.5 and still have a ton of room left - feels like a W. Will keep both pairs (1 in each color) though, and wear w/thick socks and a liner. Plan to spray the suede down to weatherproof and rub mink oil into the solid leather to keep it from looking more rustic than it already does. Otherwise, an amazing boot! Flawless craftsmanship - I own a ton of boots and these are stunning. The ankle strap does allow to tighten a bit. Not sure why the calf needed elastic gussets - already wide enough for an average calf w/a skinny jean tucked in. My 4 star rating is for the odd sizing issue.

I normally wear an 8 1/2. I had to reorder a 7. My 19 yr old niece who normally wears a 9 1/2 or 10 fell in love with them and kept the 8. They are very beautiful, of high quality and I can't wait to get them. They are a classic boot that should last a long time. Sizing is like mens, I think.
