After wearing them for a couple of days now they stay on better. The braid does make the slipper snug but I think that is so they stay on your feet. I have wide feet and ordered my normal size and the slippers fit well. I think they are good slippers but just was not exactly what I hoped for.

I had another pair of Acorn slippers that were a loose fit, so the support is a nice change. Thick soles are good for my feet on my wood floors. Stylish in that they belong at your cabin in the woods : ) but I am happy to wear them at home...

I usually find my shoes are too wide, so if you have a high instep or a wide foot, you might reconsider.

In other words, my foot couldn't go in to the shoe. This is a design problem and was totally unsatisfactory. I sent them back.
