However, the zipper is a bit uncomfortable with the lining out around the neckline.

Very warm with the liner that snaps in at the sleeves and along the bottom. Perfect for fall without the liner. High quality nice looking jacket. I'm glad I bought it - it's now my favorite!
By osmosisjlkf from London, KY on 10/18/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut, Versatile Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a nice jacket-great for hiking and outdoor activity in cool/cold weather. Very heavy. It's boxy though so don't buy unless you like that style. The canvas fabric is stiff and solid making the coat a little uncomfortable at first, but I'm sure will soften after a couple washings.
By bargainbaby from Chicago, IL on 10/17/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is great for the fall weather we have been having, I can wear it without a sweater underneath and I love that. I wear it any day it doesn't rain. The only thing that would make it better is if it was waterproof!!!
Lined Barn Jacket for women a winner By sc the swimmer from kansas city, MO on 10/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for a friend, and she loved it.
By BusyMom from Connecticut on 10/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut, Versatile, Well Made Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This coat is really extremely well-made and an outstanding value at this sale price. The canvas exterior is soft but durable, and the inner lining is warm. The seams are all straight and tight. I love the gold color as it is almost a neutral that can be worn with anything. The purple liner is very pretty, as well, and as we all know, purple is very big this year!
I bought it to wear for casual use, errands, picking up the kids at school, walking the dog, raking leaves, etc. It would also be perfectly fine for any casual outing--casual lunches, apple-picking, and hiking come to mind.
This jacket runs large IMO. I wear a size Medium in virtually every single item of clothing I own, a real medium, not a small--medium, and this was big on me. It felt more like a large. The shoulders were a bit too big and the sleeves much too long. I exchanged it for a small, and I'm hoping that will work out, because I really LOVE this jacket! It is a casual, yet attractive item that is very versatile due to the zip-out liner--another great feature on a jacket with such a low price.
If you are in the market for a casual or work jacket, grab one of these fast--it is a fantastic find. Just consider sizing down, esp. if you don't like things oversized. (I think if I were planning to wear big sweaters underneath I might stick with large, but then I'd look HUGE. And with the warm liner, you don't really need a bulky sweater underneath.)
Again--I LOVE this jacket!
