But- the coat is great, and perfect for riding or a run to town.

Better than photo. Great buy! By Share from Eureka Springs, AR on 04/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Well Made Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wanted a warm and sturdy coat that looked great, one I could wear equally well around the barn, into town and out riding. This coat more than fulfills my expectations: it looks and feels better than I expected from the description given on Sierra's website. The color is more beautiful than it appeared on my monitor and the color of the lining at the collar, also not described on the site, makes a pleasing contrast. I ordered one size up so that I could wear it over bulky sweaters. Both the length of the jacket and the sleeves are amply long, which is terrific because generally, as I am tall, most coats my size are too short in the body and the sleeves. Also, there is an inside cuff in the sleeve to keep out the cold and keep wrists warm. I don't remember if this feature was mentioned in the description, but it is a definite plus. This jacket has all the appearance of an outstandingly made garment; and if it holds up as well as I think it is going to, I'm going to get years of use from it. I would absolutely buy another from Sierra. [...]

By HarleyCowgirl from Oklahoma on 03/28/2009 Cons: Bulky, No Zip Out Liner, Unflattering Shape Best Uses: Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I also bought the Roper Barn Jacket in the purple blue color which fit much better than this one (bought the same size). This one is a little too bulky and not as much room as the Barn Jacket and since you can't zip out the fleece liner you're limited to when you can wear it (colder). The fleece will also be a little harder to keep the hay from embedding into it. But I loved the teal color.

Great riding and barn jacket. By Kathrin from Tualatin, OR on 02/10/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Versatile, Warm, Well Made Best Uses: Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the blue purple color. I wear it when riding and working around the barn. The side snaps and bottom zip up make it great for riding. Also like the inside pull cords to give it a slightly fitted look.
