The coat I have been seeking for years By 8 horses and 40 acres from Sheridan, Oregon on 02/05/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The most important thing about this jacket is that it has snaps. I can't work with just a zip. Snaps on the front, pockets and side gussets. I wear this jacket daily for doing barn chores and riding horseback. The inner knit cuffs score 10 out of 10 for preventing hay from going up the arm, and the tough pebble canvas can take a great deal of abuse. The front and back yokes add a nice western touch. The colors are a great improvement (I chose teal) over the usual yuck yellow brown of barn clothes. I would have preferred the traditional flannel or cord in collar and pocket lining, hay is murder on fleece.

By Loppypatchy from northern Maine on 01/02/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut, Great details, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great coat - I am so impressed with it. I live in northern Maine. It was 10 below and with the wind chill factor about 25 below. This coat is warm. It is very comfortable. 3 snaps on both sides is great for sitting down. The fitted inside cuffs keep the wind out. It has elastic pulls with toggles to pull at the waist to keep the wind out. The neck can be folded down or worn up to protect your neck and chin. This is very well made - durable. It light weight for the warmth. Has enough pocket room and an inside pocket that closes with Velcro. I have the overalls to match and I can't say enough about them. They machine wash and dry great. I haven't washed the coat - but it's made of the same material etc and looks like it will wash and dry great. I would pay a lot more for this coat and still feel I got a great deal. The fit is great. Not bulky but I can fit a warm sweater under it and feel comfortable.
By Sourdoughnative from North Iowa-Upper Midwest on 12/29/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut, Versatile Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Ranch wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Not only do I love the color-periwinkle blue/bright green, but the fit is exceptional. I am tall, 5'11", and always have a problem with shoulder and arm length. This coat fit me perfect in a XL. The nice thing is I could cinch it in, because I am a medium build everywhere else. Nice length, I like that the sides can be unsnapped for ease of movement or sitting, riding. Overall I am impressed with this jacket. I live in N. Iowa and the winters here are bitterly cold, seems warm, also.

Warm: inner elastic cuffs and waist drawstring help alot. Side snap at hips good for riding. Can put more layers on underneath if needed. Nice color and contrasting lining adds a spark.
By Linda from Very cold and snowy Iowa on 12/17/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut, Versatile Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Okay folks, believe me, I am happy about this jacket! It was a gift, and the person I gave it to, nearly started crying. She is a short, rotund woman. Plenty of room for the hips, double zipper, which you can not come by easily in jackets. Strong threading, a tough jacket. But greatest of all, three snaps on the hips, to loose the jacket when you sit. Her arms are not as long as mine, and she said the length of the arms was perfect...the first time any jacket fit her in the arms. She is more petite than I am, but I got her the 1X and she said over and over again, "It is Perfect!" Also, the arms are cuffed on the inside to keep the weather out. This is an added attraction. Everything about this jacket says: 'attention to detail.' It also has a little pocket on the inside, and this pocket closes very well...so no lost phones.
Buy it...you won't be sorry!
