By Jack of All Sports from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg,VA on 06/04/2008 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality Cons: No pocket on front flap Best Uses: Daily use, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Career, Comfort-Oriented, Modern, Practical, Student Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this bag everyday for school and anything else. Since I am a grad student, I tend to have a lot of books and papers to carry, and this bag easily fits everything I need. My only complaint is that there is no pocket on the flap itself. If you need to get anything from the bag, you have to open the front flap. I know this makes it more weather proof, but it would still be nice if there was something there. Not a big problem at all though. Very minor issue
By CTB from Asheville, NC on 05/04/2008 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Business Travel Describe Yourself: Career, Classic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Well-constructed messenger bag with excellent capacity and some good interior pockets. A top handle for ease of overhead bin retrieval would have gotten it 5 stars (although this suggested feature is stylisticaly not inherent to messenger bag design). Well-priced and nicely-executed.
By juliecarriestoomuch from Rochester, MN on 05/02/2008 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Family Trips, Mobile Office Tote, Weekend Trips Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted a quality, stylish, large capacity messenger bag to carry my paperwork and other office necessities back and forth to work. I got exactly what I wanted, but the bag is so big and strong that I often load it to a capacity that makes it a heavy haul. I would like to be able to expand the adjustable shoulder strap more than the product allows. Also, a suitcase-type hand carrying handle would be a nice addition to the bag. This is a very nice product that lives up to what one would expect from a Timbuk2 offering.

By W. S. from Bozeman, MT on 04/13/2008 Pros: Durable, Good Capacity Cons: Not the most comfortable Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I prefer not to drive, so this bag gets used to carry whatever I need to get from point A to point B. Books, groceries, extra clothes, beer and/or picnic supplies all fit. The Large is a good size - not too huge, but big enough to carry as much weight as I'm comfortable with on my back. That said, it's not the most comfortable bag. The strap system can be awkward with larger loads and the lack of padding become obvious when you're carrying a couple cases of beer and ice. For me, this was a test to see if I like the one-strap style messenger bag. It's solid, but not amazing. Durability is tops. A big factor to consider is that, at least where I am, everybody has a Timbuk2 bag. Timbuk2 is a company based around bringing this sort of bag to the mainstream (they succeeded), so that's to be expected. All in all, a good purchase.

I have been wanting something to carry all that extra baby stuff that isn't hideous or hard to carry. This is great! We are also heading to Hawaii in the summer and look forward to using this bag as a carry-on. We will be able to fit SO much stuff in it and then use it once we are there!
