Ground Moab Pants - Convertible By G. from Salinas, CA on 03/31/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very comfortable pants; easily convert to nice length shorts. Shorts are not as long as many zip off shorts, which I like (not bermuda length). Too long, but easily hemmed.
By Kayak and Climb from Trapped in the Midwest on 01/14/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants fit great! I love the lower rise on them and finally a perfect length. The shorts are a bit shorter than most convertible pants but they are better for climbing and hiking as they are less restrictive without showing too much to your belay ;-} Thanks again STP for a wonderful product!!!
By Sweetp from Westchester on 01/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Worked for long hikes, although the zipper line sometimes chafed.
Nof for the 'womanly' shape By stacr from carmel, ny on 01/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Cons: Not for a woman's curves, Poor Fit Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been trying to find a pair of convertible pants for some time. These look great and the shorts are a good length.
However, the sizing is not true. Normally, I am a size 6, I had to go up to a size 10 in these and the hip/thigh area is still TOO TIGHT.
can someone make true hiking pants for a woman's shape? If you have a thin frame, they are wonderful, if you have curves, keep looking.
By Hiker Bee from Carmel, NY on 01/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Cons: Poor Fit, Tight on thighs Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been trying to find convertible pants for women for over a year and thought the 'relaxed' fit on these would be great. I usually wear a size 6 in [...], but in these, according to their waist/hip measurements, I ordered a TEN ! To my dismay, they are still very tight in the hip area.Where do you go for hiking pants made for a woman's body ?
Great pants except for the pockets By Bird Adventurer from Houghton, MI on 11/08/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Overall I really like these pants just be careful what you put in the pockets. The pockets are shallow and aren't secure. I lost money and other items easily fell out while sitting the first couple times I wore these pants. A redesign with deeper pockets and zipper closures would make these the perfect pants.

They are a little long for me,but I'm just 5'. They were easily hemmed though and the length as shorts is fine.
