By JK from Santa Fe on 08/08/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Got it for my wife and it is too large even though we ordered a size down. Otherwise, great jacket, nice features, well made, waterproof and vented and breathable.
By surfgirl from honolulu, hi on 07/25/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The jacket is well made and seems sturdy. I am in Hawaii, and it seems fairly warm for a rain jacket, but will be ok for foul weather sails. Would be even better in colder climates. I got the men's xs, my standard size is a women's 2, but do tend to go larger in jackets as I like longer sleeves and room for layering. This size fits perfectly. I have not yet had any problems with the zipper as some other reviewers have mentioned.
By rain rain go away from CA on 07/23/2009 Pros: Durable, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually wear women's large and bought this in men's small because it was an awesome price. It's certainly big in the shoulders but fits well around the hips. I haven't tried it in the rain yet but it looks like quality.
By physiocrat from Sacramento, CA on 07/22/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Minor stitching flaw in the collar well worth the discounted price. Pit zips and interior pocket. I'm 5'3", 145lbs and XS fits perfectly. Feels and looks well made - looking forward to testing it this winter!
Cold and rainny?, doesn´t matter! By Frkk from Bogota, Col. on 07/21/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I´m a mountaneering and rock climber, the jacket is perfect: light, breathable, waterproof and comfortable. The plus a little price for an article of high end construction.
By Outdoorsman from Meridian, Idaho on 05/12/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Windproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is my go to jacket now. My fleece jackets just hang in the closet. Its perfect for hiking, biking or around town when the weather isn't so nice. Bring on the damp weather with the wind. This is the jacket for it.
By Lucy from Indianapolis on 12/23/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got this jacket for my husband. It is hard to find clothes small enough for him. We got the xs and it is a little big, but will allow things to be layered under it. If you don't need to layer, the xxs would work. The jacket seems to be very well made. It is a little heavier than his other rain jacket ( marmont precip). This is better for the winter.
By Nip from Noank on 08/05/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Mesh lining, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought the jacket for lightweight, waterproof protection with style. It fits the bill very well. It does run large - originally ordered medium, and exchged for small which fits fine. I am not a fan of hoods, but the one here is nicely hidden in a fleece lined collar. Would remove to save weight, but no easy way to do that. Mesh lining is a big plus at this price since makes much more comfortable to wear in warm, humid conditions.
By TN from MI on 07/03/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Purchased for a multiple week camping/backpacking trip to AK. Performed above expectations during almost daily rain, including several days of hiking with full pack. Breathed well, reasonably warm without additional layers.
By Namaste from La Crosse WI on 06/04/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Extreme Conditions, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I plan to use it as an rain jacket over hiking clothes as we are doing some mountain climbing this summer. I wanted a well made sweat resistant, waterproof hooded Jacket for rain and cooler conditions. Its slightly larger fit allows me to wear other clothing under it. It does seem to run 2 sizes larger than I would normally wear. Thanks for the great Jacket and great prices!! Peace, Joan
