Not exactly what I thought. By Alaskan Girlie from Anchorage, Alaska on 04/07/2009 Cons: Too small in the chest Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the design, color! I am so bummed it doesn't quite fit around the chest, so I have to return it and they don't have any other size now. I own coats similar by Mountain Hardware, and it fits like a charm, so I thought it would be the same. I was so surprised when I got this one, and it's too tight:(
By mom on the go from Gettysburg, PA on 01/30/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is warm and beautiful, but really really small. I read the other reviews and bought a size 6 for my 10 yr old very average sized daughter and it fits her perfectly (long in the sleeves, but probably the only part that is a true to size 6) Be sure to get at least 1 size up!!
By Sierra fan from Iowa City on 01/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the 2nd jacket I ordered. I got my older daughter one for Christmas. It packed beautifully for a trip and she says it's very warm. And, the style appeals to college kid, teen and 40 something mom. We're not very big and it was great to find a jacket that was sized the way things used to be before size inflation.
By caligirl from menlo park on 01/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Jacket is lightly waterproof. Water beads on jacket, when wiped, the jacket appears to have absorped some water based on the darkening of jacket color. I haven't tested in heavy rain. However, the jacket does have a wet smell after it has been through the misty weather.
Great jacket for tiny women! By Runner Kim from Waterford, CT on 01/18/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this jacket b/c I love the brand but was disappointed to find it WAY too small. I have other jackets from MH that I haven't had a fit problem with. I'm 5' 10" and a size small top. The sleeves were a good 3 inches too short and the torso the same. I can't imagine anyone taller than 5'3" wearing it comfortably. Too bad b/c I loved the jacket!
By Marianne from Roanoke on 01/16/2009 Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I loved this jacket. It seems extra warm and stylish, but I usually wear a 4, ordered a 6 based on reviews, and it was still too small. I sent it back. I wish it had fit, seems very nice. The cuffs were tight, the shoulders and arms are too short and snug. Felt like a childrens size
Great jacket but way too small. By Mountain Monkey from Eugene, Oregon on 12/22/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I own a different model of this jacket and love it to death. I love it so much that I recently decided to order one for a petite friend. The only difference between my jacket and the one I ordered was that when I bought my jacket the sizing was just listed as small rather than 4,6,8...etc. I ordered a size 6 for my friend because she never wears mediums and size 8 usually starts the medium category. When the jacket arrived it was beautiful but way, way, too small. The smallest size 6 I have ever seen. Bummer.
I can't stop talking about this jacket By I love Primaloft from Milwaukee, WI on 12/04/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Skiing/Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this jacket to use as an insulation layer in Patagonia, but so far I've just been wearing it in the cold, cold Wisconsin winter. It's sooo warm! Primaloft is magical! I love this jacket, it's very warm, and very lightweight. However there are a few things about it that I would change. Number one, the sizes run small. Number two, the hand warmer pockets are a little too small to keep your hands all the way warm and things always fall out of the pockets. And also a hood would have been really nice. But over all I am very impressed.
An insulated jacket that's not bulky! By Jen from Baltimore, MD on 11/03/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Perfect insulated jacket that is actually cute and fits me! I was looking for something that wouldn't make me look like a snowman! I got a size 6 and it fits perfect but typically I wear a 2 or a 4 - that's why I rated it "Feels too small" because if I'd gotten the smaller size there's no way it would fit. I really like the length of this jacket - is hits at the hip so it looks stylish and feminine. Like the red onion/magenta color a lot - very unique! Definitely recommend this coat! Just watch out for the sizing!
Very warm and fashionable By katieinreno from Reno, NV on 04/16/2008 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is spring and I just received the jacket. It looks cool...I got the green and the embroidery stitching is purple...and I like it! It very well fitted and slightly longer to keep the cold out from the bottom. It is VERY warm.
