Unusual cut along the torso--top heavy By A little Disappointed from Burlington, Vermont on 12/11/2007 Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was surprised by the bulky cut under the arms--there is extra fabric for a very full-chested woman, but otherwise, the cut is unflattering. I am moderately-sized in the chest, and I felt like I was drowning in bunched up material at the top, while the jacket and arm lengths were appropriate for my height.
By Liz from Chittenango, NY on 12/09/2007 Pros: Classic styling, Durable, Looks like quality, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a nice jacket, looks classic and tailored. It does run small, so everyone should order a size up, especially if you're an "apple". That is, unless you like your clothing very snug. The shoulders are roomy, but not too roomy.
By Debvon from Seattle, WA on 12/07/2007 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I returned the coat even though it was beautiful. The sleeves were too snug in the bicep area. I am by no means muscular so I was surprised about this. I had even gotten the wrong size and had to return it and both were snug in the arm. But I have 2 other Barbour coats and I love them so even though I don't remember details about this particular coat, I know the brand is high quality.
By KD from Atlanta on 12/06/2007 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice jacket. I wish it were warmer. I think it will be good for cool, fall weather and light rain. Sort of "all occasion" jacket within the "casual" realm. Light weight would make it good for travel.
Classy raincoat -- perfect for SoCal By SoCal Shopper from Newport Beach, CA on 12/03/2007 Pros: Trim styling, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Town and Country Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm a busty petite, so I found this trim styling doesn't make me look like the Michelin Man. I could roll back the sleeves showing off the cordouroy trim to fit my shorter arms. The many details cry "quality". It is light weight, but roomy enough for layers underneath -- more than adequate for temperate winters and springtime. I choose the apple green and constantly receive great comments on it. I love it!
Fabulous, and what a deal! By wildblueroan from Massachusettes on 12/03/2007 Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Town to countryT Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: No, it isn't warm-but it doesn't have to be, since it is wind and waterproof. It is a layering jacket, like a high performance shell. With a sweater or vest underneath you are good to at least 30 degrees. Runs a bit small; I exchanged for a larger size for layering. The long sleeves are to roll and also snap for wind. I wear mine from the barn to the board room-its a great looking jacket that keeps out the elements. A hood would make it perfect.
By lona from Sweden on 11/20/2007 Pros: Lightweight, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: A bit long in the sleeves, A little stiff, Not Warm Enough Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I had expected it to be warmer. I live in northern Europe and will probably only use it spring and fall. I don't think it's warm enough for the cold season. I thought it was waxed like most Barbour coats, it is not. Color (light blue grey) is a lot nicer than I expected, it is more bluish and a bit darker than it looks on the computer screen.
By Charissa the Equestrian from New York, NY on 09/17/2007 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very nice light weight coat. Blue/Gray color is much better in person then on the computer.
