You Can See and Feel the Quality By hokayfine from Kansas on 11/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Well Made Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Lightweight coat that is very warm. A plain, basic design, but it fits well, is very comfortable and has great quality. Will probably be able to wear this coat for many years.
By Spider from Chicago, IL on 10/24/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The UK vs. US sizing was confusing: I called to ask how to order and was told to order my US size (8). I did, but the label says UK 8 (US size 4). Fortunately, it fits great, which might indicate the jacket runs large. It's very lightweight, but is warmer than you might imagine. I wore it for the first time on a cold, blustery day and was very comfortable.

High quality Barbour as we expect By Equestrienne from Chicagoland on 08/01/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm, Well Made Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Outdoor Activities, Riding horses, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I plan to wear this for riding my horse. Typically I dress in layers. This has enough room to wear a light fleece and t-neck underneath. I have a nearly ankle-length, waxed-cotton Barbour riding coat that I wear over the jacket in really cold weather. The jacket is light enough to wear underneath that long coat. It's tailored a little around the waist, just enough to look decent but not too much to restrict movement. I'm 5'4" tall so the sleeves are bit long but that's a good thing. Better too long than too short. You can always roll the sleeve, which shows the tartan lining nicely.
Raglan Sleeve Design Is Constricting By ESTLady from Tulsa, OK on 05/25/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Versatile, Well Made Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted to keep this jacket.
Nice length, lightweight quilting, versatile style.
The main fitting problem is the shoulder area being tight because of the raglan sleeve design.
Even the raglan stitching lines can be felt on the inside because there's no give like a set-in sleeve would have.
There is no room for a sweater or layers underneath this jacket in the tight shoulder area while the bottom and hips are almost too roomy. The snaps at the bottom also make the jacket flare out at the hem.
Timeless Tradtional Style By Interiors By Ingrid from Glen Arm, Maryland on 05/24/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Lightweight, Versatile, Well Made Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The web site was a bit confusing. In the description is converted the British size to American size but when ordering it did not mention it so the first coat I purchased was too small. I returned it and got the right size. I am very happy with the coat. It is stylish, lightweight and can be worn many years because it is so timeless and traditional.

By Babe from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania on 01/20/2009 Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Shopping Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear it for casual, about town shopping, driving. It's warm enough over a sweater for cold weather.
The size comps were not regular. I first ordered a size 12 (US 8, not US 10) I had to return it for a size 14 (US 10).
