Jacket definitely runs small, I usually wear an 8 and ordered a 12, fits perfect with room for a heavy sweater. I read the reviews faithfully! Everyone at work complimented on the jacket, and of course they know where I shop!!

Back expansion area for ease of movement of arms was nice. It was really a great looking, light weight jacket. Good length in arms and body. I normally wear a small (6) ordered 10. Chest 36. Especially with job now requiring lifting 72 lbs my shoulders and upper arm bulky. With very heavy bulky sweaters it got a little binding in front & tight under arm. Returned size 10 for a 12.

The jacket was nice looking, however, I bought a size larger than usual, and it was so tight across the chest, that I couldn't wear a sweater with it. Overall it was either missized, or cut too small.

This could have been a very nice jacket.... unfortunately, the one that I received was completely different from the one pictured on the website! It has no patch pockets on the front and also had large, 3 inch ribbed cuffs. I just wish that Sierra Trading Post would provide more accurate pictures of the product they are selling.

lole jacket
By chapel hill mama from chapel hill, NC on 03/12/2008
Pros:
Breathable, Lightweight, Lots of Pockets, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant
Chest Size:
Feels too small
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I bought this just to have a stylish winter coat that is warm. I live in North Carolina where it doesn't get too cold but the winters are chilly and damp and I'm outside with my kids all the time. This coat is really light but cozy and warm. The wrists have a little sleeve so wind doesn't get up them, which I also like. The hood and fake fur are detachable. Beware-it runs really small. I am 5'6" and weigh 107 lbs (usually size 0-2) and I bought a size 6. I ordered a 4, which also fit, but wasn't as comfortable with a sweater on beneath it. The size 6 fits great.

I have finally found the perfect ski jacket. Yes, I own too many already..a down puff...a softshell...a vest...but I never had a jacket that I could wear when it is wet...the blowing wet snow, howling winds...think it will be more windproof than my down Cloudveil. Now, I confess I have not worn this skiing yet, but for a WATERPROOF jacket, this is THE most stylish one I've found. I got the olive-matches my pink NorthFace ski pants and not everyone on the hill is wearing it. As everyone has said, yes it runs small. I normally wear a size 4 in street clothes (or small in jackets) I bought this in a size 8...it fits well...with a little room to layer-although it is so warm i may get too hot with lots o layers. I probably could have done the 6...but it may have limited my movement? All In All...I'm keeping it, and I am so glad I can quit searching!YEAH!

Lole Kelly Jacket
By CFields from Gainesville, FL on 01/02/2008
Pros:
Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Lots of Pockets, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant
Best Uses:
Casual Wear
Chest Size:
Feels too small
Gear Usage:
Cold Weather Living
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This is a beautiful jacket - well made and full of lovely details. I ordered it as a replacement for another Lole jacket I ordered that was too small. I got this one in the next size up and it is still too small. The catalog describes the Lole jackets as relaxed fit but they are really very trim. I had to return this jacket, too. It almost fits, but when I raise then lower my arms, the jacket goes up and doesn't slide back down. Too bad because I like it. It has bright pink lining which I like, but it may put some people off.

I normally wear a smaller jacket but ordered larger b/c of the reviews -- they weren't kidding! Order up, these are small jackets. However, this is a great looking jacket; I wear it around town and out snowshoeing. I'm going to try it for snowboarding, but it doesn't have a snow skirt so we'll see how that goes...

Very, very nice looking versatile jacket. It is more fitted than pictured. AND, if you are at all busty, order a size or two up. I usually wear a ten and I am very thankful I ordered a 12, as it JUST fits. My bra size is 34D, and it is almost too tight across the bust. I am not going to be able to do a lot of layering under it, but it feels like the coat will be warm enough anyway to wear with a warm shirt or light fitted sweater/fleece. The removable fur-lined hood is a very practical yet attractive perk. Lots of pockets. Nice neutral dark olive color. Can't wait for the snow!!
