By Chicken farmer from Southern Wisconsin on 08/11/2009 Pros: Durable, Good Cut, Well Made Best Uses: Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The coat sleeves are short, but so are my arms, so it fits me well. The length of the coat itself is perfect. I will wear it all fall and winter for my outside farm chores and for winter hiking. Your description is deceptive in that the label says Montgomery, not John Partridge. I don't care about labels, only quality, so I'm not bothered by it, but someone who buys by brand name will be surprised when they get the jacket.

It fit great with room for layering. If I had got a small which I normally wear, the sleeves would have been too short. Order up.
By cakjak from Coast of Denmark on 10/23/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Versatile, Warm Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Perhaps maybe I missed the latest headlines, but this is NOT a brand label John Partridge, but every label inside reads for "original montgomery". Construction seems to be durable and alright, however, for the price, but if you're looking for a label than you might want to pass on this one.
John Partridge is a leader in hunting and sporting attire and it's worth every penny. According to the labels that came on this coat their website original montgomery is still a work in progress and under construction.
By munrobagger from Scotland and FL on 10/07/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was so disappointed when I tried this on! The arms were way too short for me. If it helps you any, I'm 5'8" and a size 10. The coat fit perfectly with exception of arms! I am exchanging for a Barbour. The only reason that I would not recommend is because of arm length - unless you don't mind taking a chance.
By The Mail Lady from Oregon on 09/19/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Warm Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The Rhino coat has a very durable exterior with a lining that is warmer than I expected. I went up a size for layering and found it to be very roomy.
Sleeves are a bit long for me, but the waist cinch and tabbed sleeves allow me to adjust for a comfortable fit.
I'm looking forward to foul weather and bummer lambs so I can get the most out of my barn coat.
I wish I knew more about long-term care, especially re-waxing the cotton.
Great value on a top-quality item, especially when offered with additional discounts.

I assume it is a lable owned by John Partridge, but I would have preferred knowing this before purchase. Otherwise, a great product that works hard keeping me dry and protected pruning roses and feeding the livestock.
By cowgirl from wa on 03/13/2008 Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: feels small over layers, which also brings the sleeves shorter.
