Aston Waist-Length Shearling Jacket By Rag from San Jose California. on 10/05/2009 Pros: Good Cut, Good for an evening walk, Warm Cons: Better wwith 2 way zipper Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Use the jacket for evening walk in fall around this time of the year in California, too early to say anything about winter. 2 way zipper would have been a bettert idea than full length zipper - or the zipper could be 3-4 inches shorter, so that one could sit comfortably. Full length zipper makes the jacket a bit restrive around the hips.
The Sleeves are way too long - should be at least 4 inches shorter - for comparison try the sleeves on a medium or even large size men's shirt or jacket. Even after folding the sleeves 6 inches, for me the slvees are still too long - I will have to get it altered or just cut off 6 inches to make it look better.

Great jacket needs more pockets By Ian from Frederick MD on 09/01/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut, Warm Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A beautiful jacket at a great price. However, I had to send the first one back because it was way smaller than the stated size. The 46 inch chest that I ordered was perfect (I take a 43 inch normally). On the positive side the leather is Aston's Krek, which is said to resist light rain and snow (I haven't had a chance to test it yet). A major negative is that it only has two side hand pockets, not a single inner pocket for valuables.

By backcountry bill from park city, utah on 12/16/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut, Warm, Windstopper Cons: Heavy, Not Enough Pockets, Poor zipper Best Uses: Cold Weather, Going Out, Windy conditions Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: this jacket was bought for cold and windy weather, 10 degree F. and colder in a dry utah climate. ive worn it in 10 deg weather, nothing colder. it was almost too warm with only one layer underneath with short sleeves. it will hold up very well in colder weather. the inner liner is scratchy though, full layering will help with that but not necessary. using this jacket in warmer temperatures may be a waste of your money, though it does look good, better than i thought it would look. still need to see how warm it will be at minus fairhenheit, but should be adequate. the zipper is the only complaint. its too small. sleeves are too long, but i have disportionate arm to torso size (short arms).
