By Ron from Baltimore, MD USA on 02/11/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: While it is a very nicely constructed wool jacket, it is not designed for extremely cold weather. The fully zipped storm collar is a huge plus - a feature the British use in the designing their military cold weather jackets as well.
My regular size medium fit fine, if I didn't want to zip it up while wearing a sweater and scarf underneath. So, I liked it enough to size up to a large, which fits fine with or without layers underneath.
I have several different J.G. Glover sweaters and to this point, they have maintained their appearance well; hopefully, I'll have the same result with this jacket.
By A regular customer from Iowa on 02/05/2009 Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The body of the jacket nominally size medium is more like a size small. The sleeve length is appropriate for a medium.
The zipper pull is on the wrong side for a man's jacket.
Neither of these things were clear from the product description.
By dixieblue from Bowie, Md on 01/30/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Versatile Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Order 1 size up. I am a women who usually wears a men's Medium. I had to return as it was to small.
Also not meant for mid-alantic or north winters. To lightweight.
Well built light weight jacket By Forrest the ham operator from Chicago, IL on 01/29/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Well built Cons: Little on the small side Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very well made jacket. For cool weather not cold.Nice length in sleeves, altho body of coat seems on the small side. I guess losing a couple of pounds wouldn't hurt me! I use them as car coats in cool weather and for ducking in and out in colder temps.

By Tacit from Santa Ynez on 01/26/2009 Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Too tight across the back, although sizing otherwise fine. Fair quality, but style doesn't work for me.
Not impressed with fabric By DrCultChief from Cabin John, MD on 01/24/2009 Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The jacket had a feel of less than quality construction and design. Material was surprisingly thin, not the Harris Tweed quality I was expecting. Reminded me of something made for sale at an outlet.
By Alf from St. Paul, MN on 01/23/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut, Lightweight Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the looks, feel, and craftsmanship of the jacket. Its full inner lining also has a nice touch. This is not for Minnesota winters though since I could feel the cold creeping in after a quick trip to the mailbox in 20 degree weather. Depending on the wind and clothing layers, I suspect the comfort range is between 35-65 degrees. Spring can't come quick enough!
Nice buy for thinner guys By STP Fan from Pocono Mts, PA on 01/21/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A nicely made jacket, of good fabric and design. Cut slightly tight in the body; Cut very tight in the sholders and arms. Would recommend to a thin guy, but not otherwise. The tweed on the "brown" one is really more green than brown. Also a nice classic color/pattern, but buyer should know this.
