Color is darker then I expected, the grey is actually an off-black.
Shoulders are a bit too wide for my frame, and sleeves a bit too long, but I'm a petite.

They are wardrobe staples but somewhat lighter weight than many boiled wool jackets. They are great for travel, since they can be worn with jeans or pants.
By Mom shops late from Tennessee on 12/16/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm, Well Made Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The jacket itself is short -- just reaching the top of my waistband if I don't move. However, the sleeves were much too long. Really like the jacket but the fit made me send it back. Have another Stapf jacket and it fits much differently.

Well made classic with nice details. By Melissa from Seattle on 12/24/2007 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This classic jacket works with casual pants or dressy slacks, can be dressed up or down. Thick lovely boiled wool, with nice nap, warm, and well made. I have been searching for classical boiled wool jackets, having worn one for many years. This fits the bill nicely. I particularly like the fitted style, short length, and proportioned flared sleeve.
