Comments:
I ordered this coat for a Montana fishing trip -- ordered larger as I wanted plenty of room for layering and some reviews indicated this ran small. I normally wear a 6 but ordered an 8. The 8 had room to spare even with 3 layers under it. The 6 likely would have been fine, but as time was of the essence, and I enjoyed it being plenty roomy for freedom of movement, I kept the 8. This did well at blocking the wind and repelling the water out on the lake and river. I loved the longer length which helps keep the legs warm. Very well made jacket; one I will enjoy a lot.

I love this coat. I'm pear shaped so the comments about it being small in the hips concerned me however perhaps that person did not notice that it has a long vent in the back which can unsnap for freedom of movement and you can also unzip the front from the bottom if thats not enough. Its very warm but not heavy. It has nice big pockets and the hood does not make me look like an idiot.

Beautifully made but way smaller than it should be. Would recommend you buy 2X larger than the size you think you need.

Comments:
I wear this coat around town on cold days. I'm usually a size 4 in European clothes, size 0-2 in American clothes. I got a size 36 and there is lots of room for layers. The coat is cut straight and is quite roomy in the hips as well as in the chest. It is very well made though and, though not totally waterproof, has kept me dry and warm in a couple of long walks during snow storms so I'm keeping it, happily. I just wouldn't wear it to a nice restaurant because the fit isn't the most flattering on me.

They run small
By Rich from Gresham, OR on 10/26/2007
Pros:
Lightweight
Best Uses:
Casual Wear
Chest Size:
Feels too small
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I bought this for my daughter, and she is a bit broad-shouldered while slim-framed. Still, this coat is good for casual wear and lends itself to layering with a vest or even a bulky sweater for use in changeable and windy weather. Good for international travel.
