By Ephblum from Amherst, NY on 07/16/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This coat in charcoal will be a perfect companion to the brown Fitch I already purchased last winter. Very similar high-end construction and beautiful fabric. 100% Wool is not as soft as the Fitch's combo of multiple -goras but it is very well done nonetheless. Fit is the same as the Fitch, meaning oversized in my opinion, and while I normally wear a 44L, I bought the 52 (equivalent to a 42). Even then it is a tad on the big side, but will work well for layering in the Western NY fall/winter. Seems to be very warm because of the nicely woven wool fabric but not overly so because of the half-lining (although it's July so we'll see). Other features include an extra layer on the shoulders/upper back, amadeus busts for inner cupro half-lining, "collection solitaire" tag. With the half-lining there are no interior pockets. The thing I like about these two Amadeus coats is that you can tell just by looking that they are not ordinary, run-of-the-mill coats from the mall or some chain store. The fabric and pattern, which are the best part of both, immediately tells onlookers of their quality and uniqueness.
Very good quality, warm, and stylish... By César from New York on 03/08/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very soft, warm and comfortable. Feels a bit large; it'd be a good idea to order a size smaller. I usually wear coats 40" (American size) and this coat fits better on a 38" (American size). I'm thin so there's still a bit extra room around the waist area, although the shoulders and chest fit perfectly, with room for a sweater underneath. I'm very happy about this purchase; cannot take it off. It'd have been perfectly worth spending a lot more, at this price is a true bargain.
By Mike from New Jersey on 02/27/2008 Cons: The zipper is a nightmare Describe Yourself: Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The fabic, craftsmanship and style are excellent. The guy who designed the zipper was high on drugs. It is very difficult, if not almost impossable to align and zip.
