I can't find where this jacket is of second quality. It will wear just as hard as all of our Carhartt products. LOVE IT and look forward to many years of use.

I've been trying on men's Carhartt coats for years because I have always wanted the Arctic jacket because I can not stand being cold...men's small jackets were HUGE on me...FINALLY a women's Arctic jacket! I ordered a medium and small due to the comments left by others regarding them running large...I kept the small but could've actually gotten away w/ an XS. I can't complain for the price I paid!

It's quite well made, and I can't tell what put it in the "seconds" pile.

Very nice winterjacket for horsebackriding in the snow. I like this jacket too (the fabric) but the jacket doesnt fit very well. I'm tall - but it is way to wide and the sleeves are too short. If your tall and slim - buy another design (mens jacket?).

The longer length is very welcome on cold mornings. I cannot say enough good about Carhartt products.

I moved to the MidWest from the South and needed a good winter coat. With this coat on, whatever the coat covers is not cold. You end up looking a bit lumber-jill but it's worth it. I will keep this coat forever, and I highly recommend it! I don't notice anything "irregular" about it. Great, roomy pockets. Two inner pockets, one with a zipper. I got an XS because they didn't have any smalls left and it probably runs a bit big since the XS (0-2) fits perfectly.

I guess if you really want this jacket like I did, just keep trying different ones until you find one that fits.
Once you find the one that fits it is a great jacket, warm, durable and it does keep the wind out.
Would have given it 5 stars if it had not been for the fit.

This jacket is perfect for cold weather horseback riding. The women's line is cut a little large but I am glad as it allows for layering and I like the extra coverage. Love all the pockets to stash items in and the velcro closures make it easier for retrieval of items while on the horse. A little stiff when new but I believe after a little break-in time, will be perfect.

They are made to be tough, that's why they last so long! I'm sure with wear it will soften some..but it is truly a warm coat, 4 degrees and I was toasty.
