Super jacket
By Wild Zoo Lady from Salt Lake City, UT on 04/29/2009
Pros:
Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm
Best Uses:
Bad Weather, Daily Use, Travel
Describe Yourself:
Classic Dresser
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Sleeve Length:
Feels true to length
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Because this jacket was pricey (for STP), I promised myself I'd only keep it if it was perfect. I kept it. It's light, warm, pretty and practical. The recoil pads give the shoulders a little more shape so I leave them in, but might take them out for packing. The pad holders can also function as secret pockets.

Classic Mixed with Contemporary
By Boutique from Mass. on 01/29/2009

Best Uses:

Describe Yourself:

Sizing:
Feels true to size
Sleeve Length:
Feels true to length
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Compared to the utility jacket, I prefer this one, due to its length. I like the adjustable waist and the bellow pockets, a feature from men's jackets that I think should be available in all women's jackets (rather than the flat patch pockets in most women's jackets). I like having the snap option at the bottom as well, which makes room for fuller hips while keeping the waist. I would like zips at the sleeves instead of knit cuffs and perhaps a zip all the way up to the top, but overall a good piece. Now two times my cost.

I exchanged the UK12(US8) for UK10(US6) because the UK12 was too full between the bottom of the bust and the abdomen. It looked a little weird, so STP [...] sent out the UK10. It fits great. Perfect to layer under other Barbour jackets/coats I own. Fabric is luxuriously soft and silky. This is a nice layering piece or wear it alone over a sweater. Exceptional Barbour quality, as usual. Zipper front and snaps, knit sleeve cuffs, deep pockets, snaps on the riding vents, and nice little stand-up collar. Great for our typically mild Texas fall/winter. [...]

Not for Me
By Lynn from Seattle on 03/02/2008

Cons:
Does Not Fit My Body Type
Describe Yourself:
Casual, Classic, Eclectic, Trendy
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Sleeve Length:
Feels true to length
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This coat did not seem to look very nice on me. The details of the coat were very well done and quite beautiful, but the fit did not seem to work for my body type. I have fairly broad shoulders and the shoulders on the coat seemed to be designed for someone with much more narrow shoulders. I also found that the coat looked shapeless on me. I could see where it would look very nice on someone else, though.
