No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: We ordered these as a gift and ordered the normal size for the giftee. I am much smaller and tried them on............was unable to fasten side snaps. Possibly, we made the mistake of assuming sizing was based on being used as overalls, rather than normal size. I'm guessing it would be necessary to order two sizes larger than normal for a useful fit as overalls.
