The stitch count is very good. I have two and obviously wear them hunting but would feel comfortable wearing them to everything but a black tie affair. This shirt reeks of class.

Out of the package, the shirt was stiff, so I washed it. Same result. I will have to see if it "breaks in" after wearing it and washing it a few times.
It seems very durable and well-made.
