By Luv 2 Be Warm & Comfy from Toluca Lake, CA on 08/23/2009 Best Uses: Outdoor Activities Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Okay, call me naive... I am not the camping, fishing, and hiking type. When I saw this shirt, I thought "oh good, more Columbia shirts with the roll up sleeves, pockets, and vented back yoke in more colors!" So I ordered 2 of them in different colors.
When I received them, I thought "how odd, this velcro flap... well, I guess it would be a good place to hang my eyeglasses while I'm walking." Ah, NO, ha, ha, ha... It's a flap to insert your fishing pole!
The sleeves are really baggy when not rolled up. The material is light and flimsy - I expect that it will come out of the dryer as 1 big wrinkled ball. One of the button straps for rolling up the sleeves was sewn in backwards.
Really, if you're looking for Columbia shirts to wear around town or to the office, there are much better ones to get! I do not recommend this shirt unless you are actually going to go fishing.

The little zippered front pockets are a cute yet functional detail. May buy it in another color.

By rosietraveler from nyc on 04/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The mauve color earned me many compliments from strangers. I liked this blouse for travel. The BIG negative is that it needs ironing. I got some salad dressing (oil) on it at dinner and I sprayed it with laundry detergent & it came right out. The zipped pockets were big enough to hold my credit cards in a case in one & my money in the other & not be seen. Get 1 size larger.
By Ellen from Indianapolis on 04/11/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Lightweight Best Uses: Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my second Columbia Flamingo shirt. I tried on the first one -- most practical for trekking, as well as being attractive. The second one arrived very wrinkled, so I laundered it. Even though I took it out of the dryer before it was completely dry, it was in need of ironing. This should not happen with a sports shirt.
