chippewa boots NOT MADE IN USA as advert By Sculptor with welding shop from Carrollton, GA on 01/02/2009 Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Boots fit fine, however I was very disappointed to discover that the boots are not made in the USA as advertised. They are not marked as to any origin, and the stitching and construction is clearly imported. (i.e. tongue design). If they were really made in America, they would be proudly marked as made in America. The only reference is a mention of American components.
By T.C. from Syracuse, NY on 08/12/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Stain Resistant Best Uses: General work boot, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, No nonsense Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Boot is comfortable-USA made and comes wide(EEE) which is hard to find at a reasonable price. They stay dry and look pretty sharp. Construction is tough. I use them as a tractor trailer driver and they suit me well. I think with a heavy sock they will be suitable in the snow and cold.
By jack from south, florida on 08/03/2008 Cons: Causes Hotspots or Blisters, Inside lining cheaply don Describe Yourself: High-end shopper Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Returned the product because inside lining was not breathable and could feel stitching/construction seams/folds through it, causing a rub against my foot.

rugged boots from a known manufacturer By gardenguy from CT on 05/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Sole doesn't collect dirt, Stable, Sturdy construction Best Uses: Any work activity Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these boots mostly for working around the yard. They are comfortable and easily donned. I specifically wanted to avoid boots with the deeply lugged soles because they collect so much dirt/mulch/leaves/grass for tracking into the garage. These boots have a mild pattern that quickly self clean by walking on the yard. The last is very sturdy and provides good foot support when I am using a hand shovel in this nice rocky New England soil! Finding a US made boot in wide sizes is very satisfying.
