Sheds just like a live alpaca By Deal Seeker from Cali on 01/08/2008 Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The initial excitement over a versatile, stylish cape of soft, warm alpaca was quickly replaced by the unwrapping reaction of "What is this - an army blanket?" Yes it is soft, but wow is it hairy. I can't imagine wearing it with any solid color tops that would highlight the hairs it sheds. Yes it is warm, but it's also surprisingly large and heavy. Best uses - stylish, casual outings (over patterned tops) for larger women on cold days.

As I'm Danish I do like much of the stuff that has been designed in Europe, (call me a snob) but I do like good quality at a reasonable price...

Alpaca wool is so wonderful! By Kelly from Champaign, Illinois on 12/24/2007 Pros: Attractive Design, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Conservative Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I took this traveling from a cold climate in Illinois to Houston, Texas in December. I used it as a coat, a robe, and as a blanket. It is so light weight but amazingly warm. The weather changed so much during our stay but this cloak was always just the right thing to wear in the evenings. The only downside is that it really did look like I was wearing a blanket, as I am a small person.
By outside meditator from cabot vermont on 12/06/2007 Pros: Attractive Design, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Cons: The material sheds a lot Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Comments: The cape is a little cumbersome for driving but is great for walking or sitting outside in cool weather. The material sheds a lot of fibers and that is a problem if you are wearing dark colored clothes.
