Great warm hat that covers the ears. By Cold in Minnesota from Minneapolis, MN on 01/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Dries Easily, Warm, Windblocking Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country, Downhill, Freestyle Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is one of the only truly technical wind blocking hats for women that actually covers the ears. I recommend it!
By bargain shopper from California on 01/14/2009 Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Downhill Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The material is very soft and fuzzy, nice to touch! I like how the rim is generous and can be folded up like a rim, and then folded down to cover ears if needed. Cool hat.
By Kitty from Chicago on 01/12/2009 Pros: Breathable, Dries Easily, Warm Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels full size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Excellent for the outdoors By wing it from Des Moines, IA on 01/04/2009 Pros: Covers Ears, Good Protection, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Backpacking, hiking Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Long distance hiking Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This hat is excellent. It is plenty warm, and when warmth is not enough, it blocks wind. I lost this hat (had to repurchase it), and when I switched to a non-windblocking hat, I could tell the difference. It's light and is just big enough to cover ears. The only thing is that one particular person said that it "looks funny on you." But, honestly, I don't think it looks too bad in the pictures; and it does everything I need a hat to do when I'm relying on it to survive in cold weather.
By winteradventuregirl from Baton Rouge, LA on 01/04/2009 Pros: Good Protection, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This hat has an odd fit. I love Mountain Hardwear and sing their praises all the time. However, this hat is an exception. It's very soft and pretty but when you put it on its really big and there is extra fabric on the top. It makes your head look rather odd and my relatives made fun of me non stop about this hat.
By TLM from SLC, UT on 01/03/2009 Pros: Good Protection, Warm Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Well, this hat is a Wind Stopper for sure, but it might also stop the Fashion Police. It makes your head look like an acorn, so I won't wear it out and about the city, just backcounty and camping. :)
By plantgeek from northwest Iowa on 01/02/2009 Pros: Breathable, Dries Easily, Good Fit, Good Protection, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Working outside in winter Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We have a lot of wind in Iowa and this is a warm hat and protects your ears. I use it for going out anywhere, even to the grocery store, and I bought my granddaughter one to keep in her car for emergengies.

By maria from ohio on 12/09/2008 Pros: Breathable, Dries Easily, Good Fit, Good Protection, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: warm and fluffy, completely covers ears without covering eyes...I would love a jacket and sweat pants made of this material!
the weirdest fitting hat ever By notreallyagearhead from Washington state on 11/28/2008 Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels full size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I've worn the mens version of this hat before, and it fit OK, but this women's size R is for a football-sized head, I guess. I had two of my friends (both women with what might be called large heads) try this hat on, too, and it still came down over their eyes. Does "R" stand for regular? I think not.
