Bought two b/c I liked it so much! By bornhiker from Salt Lake City, UT on 08/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Length, Soft, Stylish, Versatile, Washes Well Best Uses: Casual, Exercise Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear this hiking or around town with a skirt. I love the fact I don't have to wear a bra with it! No straps to show! I'm a smaller bust so the shelf bra works fine for me.
Top is heavy weight but not too. Good length about hip on me and I'm tall.
I liked it so much I got back on line to see if they had more and they did! Thanks STP!
By Dale from the Wet Coast from British Columbia, Canada on 07/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Length, Stylish, Versatile, Washes Well Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Got this in the brown/yellow tones, and found that it compliments many other pieces in my wardrobe. Looks good solo &/or under a thin cotton sweater.
By sun runner from Tucson, AZ on 06/15/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Length, Soft, Stylish, Versatile, Washes Well Best Uses: Casual, Exercise Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was misled by other reviews (ordered a size up as recommended, found it definitely too big!), so here are some specifics:
This top is supposed to have a tight, athletic fit (made from a stretchy material). On a slim person, true size fits great. Only order up if you're a different body type or don't like the skin-tight fit.
I'm 5'8", 130lbs, 32D and the small fits great. The medium was a little loose over the body and very loose in the chest. Other reviewers have said it runs short, but I find it no shorter than the other two mountain hardwear technical/athletic shirts I own. I have a short torso, and that's one of the things I like about mh tops- they fit me!
in terms of support, for a D cup, of course the shelf bra doesn't really cut it for anything more high impact than yoga or climbing, but that is to be expected. It works well with a real bra underneath for hiking.
Because of the high cotton content, it's not the most quick drying shirt.
By The Runner from Sacramento, CA on 04/15/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish, Washes Well Describe Yourself: Practical, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This top feels great while running. FYI - the top is a little short and I have short torso, so get a size larger if you want a longer length.

By triathlete wannabe from waynesburg, PA on 02/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Soft, Stylish Cons: Not Enough Support, Runs short Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like this tank except the XS (which I normally get from Mountain Hardwear) seemed too small---needed a small or maybe even medium. Overall, the tank seemed short, not covering the length of my torso, regardless of it being a little too tight. The material is great though, anf the top top is an attractive alternative for camping or low-impact activities.
By butch from scaggsville, md on 02/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish, Supportive Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: another nice product from Mt Hardware that I plan to use at the gym.
Excellent Performance Garment By She-Ra, the abusive outdoor athlete from Detroit, Michigan on 07/31/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Soft Describe Yourself: Athletic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This tank is cut perfectly for a slim person, it offers support but doesn't give me the "squished and flat" look. It runs just a tad big. I usually order a small but had to get a medium. (I'm 5'8'' and weigh 125#) It feels good, looks good and has great movement for athletics like rock climbing.
dull yellow but I like it By Just me from Santa Fe NM on 07/28/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Yoga, walking, laying around, good support.
Good idea, poor carry through By NWclimb/bike/run/SAR lady from Portland, OR on 07/09/2008 Describe Yourself: Competitive athlete, Outdoor professional Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The shirt has poor/moderate support for D cups (must wear another bra under if jogging or hiking long distances) and is usually ok to wear by itself, but if you wear it under other layers or with a backpack's hip straps, it rides up and bunches around the waist. Also, the heavy fabric stays wet and doesn't wick, making you uncomfortable/cold if planning on wearing it while backpacking. Better to wear it to quick trips to the gym or casual wear.
